Aftercare
Chemical Peel
What's normal
Tightness and redness at first, then peeling or flaking, usually starting around day 2–3 and lasting up to a week. The new skin underneath is sensitive. If your peel came with its own home-care kit or instructions, follow those first.
Until peeling is finished
- Leave the peel on for the hours we told you before your first wash.
- Wash gently with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser; pat dry. Moisturize often.
- Don't pick, pull or scrub peeling skin. Snip loose flakes with clean scissors instead.
- Avoid heavy sweating, saunas and swimming for the first few days.
For 1 week
- No retinol or tretinoin, acids, scrubs, waxing or other facial treatments.
For at least 2 weeks
- SPF 30+ every day and avoid direct sun. New skin burns and darkens easily.
